My one hour consultations are something marvelous! They are versatile, they adapt to what you need, they are flexible and mainly they can, in the space of one hour, change the way you live, the energy in your home, the functionality of your spaces and simply make your life a little bit simpler. Let me explain...
When I first started thinking about my packages, and what I wanted to offer to people in and outside of Hitchin I very quickly realised that I needed something that could reach as many people as possible. When I say that, I mean, reaching first time buyers, families with larger homes and children, retired couples, people living further away, younger couples, single people... But also I wanted to offer something that was simpler than my coaching sessions and my full interior design packages. Not everyone needs and wants someone round their house for hours/days. Not everyone needs or wants a full document that explains in detail what we spoke about during our meeting, for some people the help they need is straight to the point and they don't require sketches, moodboards, colour palettes or samples. Some people just want it easy, quick and efficient!
My one hour consultation can be done in person or remotely via Zoom. My time is yours for an hour (or more) and during this power time we can speak about anything, or I can help you with anything! Let me give you some examples of some of the clients I met before Christmas.
Family house layout in Kent, consultation via zoom
This family had just moved into their new home and were renovating it. They were unhappy with the layout of their existing furniture in some of the rooms but before buying new stuff they wanted my guidance in choosing the right layout for each of the rooms. So together we navigated through each space and with some of the sketches I had done, some examples and good advice they felt they knew exactly what to look for and how to make it work
Choosing curtain fabric in Hertfordshire, consultation in person
This consultation was for a retired couple that had just moved into a newly built house. In the master bedroom they wanted new curtains for their windows but felt overwhelmed with the amount of choices and possibilities with regards to patterns, colours, shapes. I met with them at the property and they shared with me what they were after. Following this meeting I met with the person they were working with to make the curtains and selected with her some fabrics. I met the couple again with the fabric samples I had selected and explained to them why and how I had chosen those. Together we looked at the fabric samples, paired them with the existing furniture and surroundings and together we made a final decision.
Refresh of a rented home in Hertfordshire, consultation in person
My client had lived in this rented property for more than 10 years but never felt they managed to make it their own due to not being able to paint the walls or drill holes and so on. During the hour spent together, we walked into each room and look at what worked and what didn't. I showed them how to make some spaces more intimate, how to make some rooms feel a bit warmer and more welcoming, I shared with them my favourite place to shop or what type of furniture to use for certain spaces. I also gave them tips on how to style certain shelves, kitchen units and the bathroom.
